Per animationMonthly retainer

A single animated character piece each month. One scene, one voice, around 30 seconds finished. Same locked style and same characters across the retainer.

  • One finished piece per month
  • Concept, animation, sound design
  • Two rounds of revisions
  • Master files + delivery in your formats

The price steps down. And back up.

No contract and no minimum — just a position on a ladder. Commission a piece and you step down a rung next month. Skip a month and you step back up one. Four months of continuity puts you on the floor. And once you’ve been with us six months, a quiet month stops costing you anything at all.

The arithmetic that matters

Why the ladder

Most studios discount to close a deal, then spend the engagement quietly trying to claw it back. This isn’t that, and it isn’t onboarding cost being amortised either. The floor rate is what Zeo was built to charge.

The whole company is structured around repeat work rather than per-project agency economics: no sales pipeline, no account layer, no cold start on every brief, a house style and a rigged cast already sitting there. That structure only holds if the work keeps coming — so the rate you get is tied to the thing that makes the rate possible.

Read the ladder from the bottom, not the top. The floor is the real price. Everything above it is what irregular work genuinely costs to produce, for us and so for you. It’s a win on both sides, which is the only kind of pricing that survives contact with a second year.

Freeze months

Six consecutive months with work commissioned banks you a freeze month — one month off, no step back up. A full year and you’re carrying two.

Budgets get frozen. Launches slip. The person who championed this leaves. None of that should cost you a rate you spent half a year earning, and once you’re six months in, it doesn’t.

It only works in one direction, which is the point. You can’t buy a freeze and you can’t earn one faster by ordering more. You earn it by showing up. Trust goes both ways or it isn’t trust — and this is the half that’s ours to prove.

How it counts
  1. One rung per calendar month. Commission one piece or three — you move a single step. The ladder measures rhythm, not volume. You can’t buy your way down it; you can only stay on it.
  2. Counted when you commission, not when we deliver. Our schedule is our risk to carry, never yours.
  3. A skipped month costs one rung. Not the whole ladder. One quiet month is a step back, not a reset.
  4. Six consecutive months banks a freeze month. Spent automatically on your next quiet month — you never have to ask. Two in the bank, maximum.
  5. Bank the slot if the brief isn’t ready. Hold your rung now, brief us when it lands. You never sit on animations you didn’t need.
  6. Twelve months dormant and the ladder resets. Past that we’re rebuilding rigs and reloading style, and the price has to say so.
  7. No contract, no minimum, no clawback. Stop whenever. Everything you’ve paid for is yours, in your formats.
